Sometimes bacteria enter into the nerve of a tooth or a tooth becomes traumatized. If this occurs you will need a root canal. During a root canal, the bacteria and nerve are removed and the tooth is cleaned. We then fill the tooth to seal it. Root canals are painless procedures done under local anesthesia (same as a dental filling).
